JOHANNESBURG, May 2 (Xinhua) -- Three South Africans appeared on Durban Magistrates Court on Wednesday facing charges of public violence and were remanded to May 25.

The three were arrested following violence at Moses Mabhida stadium in Durban that saw Kaizer Chiefs fans go on rampage attacking security guards and facilities when their team lost the game.

The incident on April 21 resulted in the injury of 18 people and damage estimated at over 216,000 U.S. dollars.

On Thursday the police issued a statement saying the three accused were released on bail. The bail conditions are that they are not allowed to attend any sporting events. Enditem
