South Africa's Barbarians beat Uganda in rugby friendly

KAMPALA, April 30 (Xinhua) -- Visiting South African side, Barbarians beat Uganda's national 15s team 22-8 in a rugby friendly here on Monday.
The visitors showed lots of attacking prowess and speed, while the Ugandan team showed they still have a lot of work to do ahead of the 2018 Rugby Africa Gold Cup.
Last Saturday the South African team also stopped the hosts 39-29 in the first build-up.
Robert Seguya, Uganda's head coach told Xinhua that the two games have given Uganda homework to do.
The Barbarians is a select team of top players featuring for different clubs in the Rugby Premier League in South Africa.
Uganda used the two matches to prepare the national 15s team ahead of the 2018 Africa Gold Cup which will be used as qualifiers for the 2019 Rugby World Cup to be held in Japan.
The six African teams that will contest in the 2018 Gold Cup and the final round of the African qualification for the World Cup include; Uganda, Kenya, Morocco, Namibia, Tunisia and Zimbabwe.
The winner will get automatic qualification for the 2019 Rugby World Cup, while the second placed team will advance to the repechage (event where first-round losers are given another chance to qualify) tournament which will involve other teams that finish second also in their regions. Enditem
