WASHINGTON, April 30 (Xinhua) -- U.S. Democrats appear to have lost visible support among millennials with an eye to midterm elections scheduled in November, according to a new poll released Monday.

As many as 46 percent of U.S. voters aged between 18 to 34 said they would vote for the Democratic candidate over the Republican in their congressional district, down 9 percentage points from the same period in 2016, the Reuters-Ipsos poll showed.

In particular, 47 percent of white millennials said two years ago they would vote for the Democrats, but currently the number is only 39 percent for this year, the poll found.

The Reuters-Ipsos poll surveyed 16,000 millennial voters online in the first three months of this year. Enditem
