KABUL -- At least seven civilians, including a woman, were killed and over 20 others wounded after two bomb blasts rocked a diplomatic district in central Kabul on Monday morning, an Interior Ministry spokesman said.

A suicide bomber riding a motorcycle detonated his explosive roughly at 08:00 a.m. local time in Shash Darak locality in Police District 9 of the city, leaving casualties, Najib Danish told local media, Tolo News TV. (Afghanistan-Blasts)

ISLAMABAD -- Police in the Pakistani capital of Islamabad said early Monday that an American diplomat had been taken into custody after his car hit and injured two motorcyclists.

NEW DELHI -- At least eight people are feared drowned after a boat capsized in a river in the eastern Indian state of Bihar on Sunday, police said.

The mishap happened in Kosi river in the state's Bhagalpur district.

"The boat carrying 15 people, more than its loaded capacity, capsized in the river this evening. While seven people swam to safety, eight are still missing," a police official said. (India-Boat Capsizal) Enditem
