Rockets ease past Jazz 110-96 in Game 1

WASHINGTON, April 29 (Xinhua) -- James Harden scored 41 points to help the Houston Rockets roll past the Utah Jazz 110-96 in Game 1 as the NBA's top team opened their West Conference semifinal series in a convincing way.

Utah played a great series against the Oklahoma City Thunder in the opening round and sent their opponents packing, but they looked rusty and inexperienced against an awe-inspiring Rockets, who dominated the game from start to finish. Defensively they made things hard for the Jazz and offensively they made the right plays they needed to.

Harden also added 8 rebounds and 7 assists for Houston. Chris Paul chipped in 17 points, while Clint Capela had a double-double with 16 points and 12 rebounds.

For Utah, Donovan Mitchell had 21 points. Game 2 will be played next Wednesday. Enditem
