ACCRA, April 29 (Xinhua) -- Ghana's Isaac Dogbe stopped Jessie Magdaleno in the 11th round to win the WBO super bantamweight championship early Sunday.

Dogbe recovered from a first round knock down, the first time in his career, to churn out a masterful performance to defeat the title holder at the Liacouras Center in Philadelphia.

Dogbe, 23, knocked down Magdaleno once in the 5th round and twice in the 11th round to win the bout to become Ghana's youngest ever boxer to lift a world boxing title in the country's rich boxing history.

He becomes Ghana's 8th world boxing champion and ended the West African nation's 6-year title drought. Enditem
