ISLAMABAD -- At least four people were killed and two others injured when unknown gunmen sprayed bullets at five shops in Pakistan's southwest Quetta city on Sunday, hospital sources said.

Waseem Baig, spokesperson for the Civil Hospital Quetta, told Xinhua that they had received four bodies and two injured people at the hospital. "The wounded victims are being treated at the hospital's trauma center." (Pakistan-Gunmen Attack-Toll)

DAMASCUS -- Deals were reached on Sunday for the evacuation of rebels from the southern outskirts of Damascus, as the battle on the Islamic State (IS) group is ongoing until the full liberation of rebel-held areas.

The deal was reached between the rebels and the Syrian army in the towns of Yalda, Babila and Beit Sahem in the south of Damascus, and it will see the evacuation of rebels and their families towards rebel-held areas in the northwestern province of Idlib. (Syria-Evacuation-Rebel)

LOS ANGELES -- Blue Origin, the U.S. aerospace company owned by Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, has launched Sunday its suborbital New Shepard rocket and space capsule.

ALGIERS -- As many as 15 African illegal migrants died on Sunday after their boat sank off Algerian western coast, local media reported.

Algeria Press Service said Algerian coast guards rescued 19 people out of 34, all from African origins, as their boat sank off Cape Falcon in the province of Oran, 400 km west of Algiers. (Algeria-Migrants-Boat)

KUWAIT CITY -- Visiting Chinese President Xi Jinping's special representative Yang Jiechi on Sunday held talks with Kuwaiti Emir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, pledging to deepen bilateral cooperation in all fields.

Yang, a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and director of the Office of the Foreign Affairs Commission of the CPC Central Committee, extended Xi's sincere greetings and good wishes to the Kuwaiti emir. (Kuwait-China-Meet)

DAMASCUS -- A missile strike targeted Syrian military positions in the countrysides of Hama and Aleppo provinces on Sunday evening, state TV reported.

While not revealing details on who was behind the missile strike, the TV aired a short footage of fire emerging from a site, saying "military sites in the countrysides of Hama and Aleppo have been subject to a new aggression with hostile missiles around 10:30 p.m." (Syria-Explosion) Enditem
