Iran overhauls F-4 fighter jet

TEHRAN, April 29 (Xinhua) -- Iran's Air Force successfully overhauled an F-4 fighter jet, state TV reported on Sunday.

The F-4 fighter jet was revamped by the Iranian experts at the Shahid Lashkari Air Force Base in northern Tehran Province in one and half years.

The aircraft had been grounded for years before the overhaul process began.

It has undergone a final test and restored to the Air Force's fleet, the report said.

On Sunday, Iran's Defense Minister Brigadier General Amir Hatami said that Iran's Armed Forces are not afraid of any enemy, according to Press TV.

Iran's Armed Forces, are capable of guaranteeing security in the region, he added. Enditem
