ISLAMABAD, April 29 (Xinhua) -- A fashion show was held in Pakistan's capital Islamabad on Sunday with an aim to provide a platform to young talent to showcase their skills.

Both aspiring and professional models presented creations of Islamabad-based designers to an audience over 300 students, businessmen, fashion designers and media persons among others.

A few designers presented their prêt collection at the fashion show, but its main focus was bridal couture in order to respond the growing demand of the trendy bridal dresses in the country.

Bright colors and rich embellishments have always remained a staple in tradition in Pakistani bridal fashion. Following the tradition, the designers at the Islamabad fashion week presented shimmery floor-length frocks and gowns dripping in sparkles and texture. Enditem
