Chen Yufei to challenge Dai Tzu Ying in badminton Asian Championships final

WUHAN, April 27 (Xinhua) -- Chinese shuttler Chen Yufei surged into the badminton Asia Championships final in style here on Saturday, needing only 37 minutes to ease past Sung Ji Hyun of South Korea 21-12, 21-13.

The home favorite, 20, who booked a spot in the final without dropping one game in four matches, will take on defending champion Dai Tzu Ying of Chinese Taipei in Sunday's final.

"Tai is keeping good form this year. I haven't beat her for a long time, so she is really a tough rival for me to play," Chen said. "But I will try to give out my best to challenge her."

The top-seeded Tai, 24, overcame India's Saina Nehwal 27-25, 21-19 to advance.

As the only women's singles player to reach the last eight for team China, Chen has proved again that she is the future of the team. In the upcoming Uber Cup, which will held in Thailand next month, she is very likely to be the first choice singles player for the defending champions.
