Morocco arrests Belgian citizen over financial fraud

RABAT, April 27 (Xinhua) -- A Belgian national was arrested in Morocco's Marrakech Menara Airport for financial fraud, local media reported on Friday.
The 36-year-old Belgian citizen is subject to international arrest warrants issued by the United States and International Criminal Police Organization for involvement in a fraud to collect huge sums of money from victims in the name of charity between 2013 and 2016.
According to Hespress.com news site, the suspect was remanded in custody and under an investigation awaiting his extradition procedure, the same source said. Enditem
