Belarus welcomes inter-Korean summit

Xinhua,April 28, 2018 Adjust font size:

MINSK, April 27 (Xinhua) -- Belarus welcomes the inter-Korean summit, the Belarusian Foreign Ministry said in a statement on Friday.

The entire international community including the Republic of Belarus closely follows the meeting of top leader of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) Kim Jong Un and South Korean President Moon Jae-in, the statement said.

Belarus welcomes the inter-Korean summit and the efforts of the leadership of the Republic of Korea and the DPRK aimed at strengthening peace and stability in the region, it said.

Belarus hopes that the high-level meeting will lay the groundwork for further dialogue on peace and security on the Korean Peninsula, and that the peaceful denuclearization initiatives will be supported by all the parties involved and by the international community as a whole. Enditem
