German shares gain 0.64 pct Friday

FRANKFURT, April 27 (Xinhua) -- German stocks rose on Friday, with the benchmark DAX index up 80.40 points, or 0.64 percent, to close at 12,580.87 points.

Material manufacturer Covestro won the most among the blue chips, with its shares up 1.69 percent. German telecommunications company Deutsche Telekom and multinational software corporation SAP rose by 1.67 percent and 1.30 percent respectively.

Energy group RWE lost the most among the blue chips, by falling 7.30 percent. Deutsche Bank and tire specialist Continental down by 3.75 percent and 1.06 percent respectively.

SAP was the most-traded share with a turnover of 349.24 million euros (421.53 million U.S. dollars). Enditem
