Chinese scholarships awarded to 38 Mongolian students

ULAN BATOR, April 27 (Xinhua) -- The Chinese-Mongolian Culture and Education fund awarded scholarships to 38 Mongolian students here on Friday.

The "Dream Star" and "Future Star" scholarship programs of China are meant for secondary school students. Each recipient received 3,000 yuan (473.32 U.S. dollars).

A competition for the programs began on March 11. More than 250 students took part.

The Chinese-Mongolian Culture and Education fund was established in 2014. Since then, 2,347 Mongolian students have been involved in the scholarship programs with 304 receiving scholarships totaling 1.5 million yuan (236,723 dollars). Enditem
