RIYADH, April 25 (Xinhua) -- A Saudi woman was injured after a projectile fired by Houthi militias in Yemen hit the border city Najran, Al Arabiya local news reported on Wednesday.

The projectile that targeted a residential area was fired on Wednesday evening, the Civil Defence Deputy spokesperson highlighted in a statement, revealing that the woman was transferred to hospital for treatment.

The border cities of Saudi Arabia are frequently hit by such attacks by the Houthis that have been engaged in a war with the Saudi-led coalition for the last three years.

Saudi Arabia and other countries are fighting in support of Yemen's exiled internationally-recognized government. Houthis also targeted Riyadh and other major cities with missiles, most of which were intercepted by the air forces. Enditem
