CAIRO, April 23 (Xinhua) -- Egyptian and Bahraini Special Forces started joint military drills in Bahrain to deal with threats to the region's security and stability, Egyptian Army announced Monday.

In a statement, the army said the exercises include Special Forces training, counter-terrorism tactics, freeing hostages and storming facilities.

The aim of these drills is to reach the highest levels of efficiency and preparedness to face any danger that may pose a threat to the region's security and stability, the statement said.
