Dollar rises to near 108 yen on higher U.S. yields

TOKYO, April 23 (Xinhua) -- The U.S. dollar rose to near the 108 yen line Monday in Tokyo on higher long-term U.S. Treasury yields.

At 5 p.m., the dollar was quoted at 107.90-92 yen compared with 107.59-69 yen in New York and 107.55-56 yen in Tokyo at 5 p.m. Friday. It moved between 107.67 yen and 107.93 yen during the day.

The euro fetched 1.2264-2265 dollars and 132.33-37 yen against 1.2285-2295 dollars and 132.24-34 yen in New York and 1.2325-2326 dollars and 132.56-60 yen in Tokyo late Friday afternoon. Enditem
