7 killed, 2 injured in SW China road accident

CHONGQING, April 23 (Xinhua) -- Seven people have been confirmed dead after a rear-end collision Monday morning, traffic police in southwest China's Chongqing Municipality said.

The accident occurred at about 6:10 a.m. after a truck was hit by a minibus carrying nine people on a section of Xiyong Street in Shapingba District.

Seven in the minibus were killed, and the other two were injured and rushed to the hospital for treatment.

The two injured passengers are still in a coma, according to the local hospital. Enditem
