DUBAI, April 22 (Xinhua) -- A minor blaze in the 360-meter tall Almas Tower in Dubai was extinguished on Sunday afternoon, causing light damage and no casualties, local authority said.

The flames started on the 68th floor of the building in the afternoon in Dubai's biggest free zone Dubai Multi Commodities Center (DMCC).

Images posted on social media showed smoke emerging from the top of the tower, and the entire office tower had to be evacuated.

DMCC is located in the Jumeirah Lake Towers District in the southwest of Dubai, close to Dubai's free port zone Jebel Ali. Enditem
