NAIROBI, April 22 (Xinhua) -- The following are news highlights in Kenya's media outlets on Sunday.

-- Anxiety has gripped residents of Murang'a County following reports that deceased politician and multiparty crusader Kenneth Matiba will be cremated in Nairobi this week.

On Saturday, the politician's home in Mukangu village, Kiharu constituency, remained under lock and key, with funeral meetings taking place in Limuru, Kiambu. It is a little activity at the home that sparked anxiety among villagers that a man who had served them selflessly as an MP and later cabinet minister before he resigned to lead push for political pluralism may not be buried amongst them. The family said they would cremate him to honor his wishes. (Sunday Nation)

-- Opposition leader Raila Odinga has rebuffed critics trying to label him a traitor after he made peace with President Uhuru Kenyatta and met former presidents Mwai Kibaki and Daniel Moi. Odinga said he is preparing way for his team to take over power in 2022. (Standard on Sunday)
