MADRID, April 21 (Xinhua) -- Celta Vigo and Valencia drew 1-1 in the Balaidos stadium in a result which complicates Celta' s chance of qualifying for Europe next season, while edging Valencia closer to assuring a top-4 finish.

A lively match saw former Celta striker Santi Mina put Valencia ahead just before the hour, before Maxi Gomez ended a 7 game drought with the equalizing goal soon after.

Getafe gave their hopes of European football a boost with a 1-0 win away to Eibar. The only goal of a game which had very few chances was scored by Mathias Olivera with a 23rd minute header.

Friday night saw Deportivo la Coruna draw 0-0 away to Leganes, a result which stretches Deportivo' s unbeaten run to four games, but which leaves them in the verge of relegation as they remain third from bottom of the table six points behind Levante who play away to Athletic Club Bilbao on Monday.

The remaining games in Spain' s matchday 34 are played on Sunday, except for Barcelona - Villarreal and Sevilla - Madrid which have been delayed until May 9th due to Barca playing Sevilla in the Spanish Cup final. Enditem
