LUSAKA, April 21 (Xinhua) -- The following are news highlights in Zambia's major media outlets on Saturday.

-- Zambian President Edgar Lungu said he will not choose who will succeed him but will allow the democratic process within the governing party to take its course.

The Zambian leader said he will support democracy to its end and expressed happiness over the tranquility and democracy prevailing in the country. (Zambia Daily Mail)

-- Africa's largest trading bloc has developed a mobile application for cross border traders to exchange information on regional trade and integration.

The Lusaka-headquartered Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA) said the decision to develop the mobile application for traders was made because most cross border traders use mobile phones to exchange information. (Daily Nation)

-- The teachers regulator in Zambia has reiterated its commitment to rid the profession of teachers with fake qualifications.

Stanley Mhango, the chairperson of the Teaching Service Commission, said 263 teachers have so far been dismissed for having fake qualification and added that the regulator was committed to bringing sanity to the profession. (The Mast) Enditem
