Xinhua,April 21, 2018 Adjust font size:

WASHINGTON, April 20 (Xinhua) -- Golden State Warriors star guard Stephen Curry is recoving very well and will be joining his teammates for modified team practices, the club said on Friday.

Curry, who suffered an knee sprain on March 23 and has missed the team's last 13 games, was examined earlier Friday by the team's medical staff. The examination indicated that Curry continues to make consistent functional progress since the injury and, as a result, he will begin to participate in modified team practices from Saturday.

The club added that the intensity of the star's on-court rehabilitation will continue to increase. Curry will be re-evaluated again in one week and according to earlier reports, he will possibly come back after the first round playoffs.

Defending champions Warriors are now leading 3-0 against the San Antonio Spurs in the first round playoffs. The teams will clash against each other on Sunday. Enditem
