VIENNA -- Around 54 people were injured in a train accident at the main station in the city of Salzburg, Austria on Friday.

The accident happened early Friday morning when a train hit another one from behind at the train station, near the border with Germany, leaving around 54 people slightly injured, local media reported. (Austria-Train-Accident)

SEOUL -- South Korea and the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) opened the hotline of direct dialogue between the leaders of the two Koreas, the Blue House of South Korea said Friday.

BANGKOK -- A pickup truck plunged into roadside ditch and overturned in eastern Thailand's Sa Kaeo province late Thursday, killing six and injuring three Thai teenagers, Thailand's Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation (DDPM) said on Friday.

The accident happened on Chanthaburi-Sa Kaeo road at Wang Nam Yen District of the province at about 10:00 p.m. local time on Thursday. (Thailand-Road Accident-Toll)

HOUSTON -- A large fire and explosion broke out Thursday afternoon at a refinery plant in Texas City, a city on Texas State's Gulf Coast, officials said. No injuries were reported.

The explosion was reported at the Valero refinery in the city, about 80 km southeast of Houston. The plant said the explosion happened around 5 p.m.(2300 GMT), saying all of their personnel were accounted for. (US-Houston-Refinery Blast) Enditem
