Guzmics banned for 10 games, fined for 70,000 RMB

CHANGCHUN, China, April 20 (Xinhua) -- China League One side Yanbian Fude's defender Guzmics Richard, 37, will be ruled out for 10 games for wrongdoing in Fude's last league match against Zhejiang Yiteng last Sunday, the Chinese Football Association announced on Thursday.

Guzmics will also be fined 70,000 RMB as part of the punishment.

The Hungarian international treaded on Yiteng player Hao Qiang's face in a challenge in the 48th minute of the game. Hao posted a picture of the terrible foul on his social media and said Guzmics' behaivor was a "violence". Guzmics then made an apology to Hao in a statement.

Guzmics moved to China from Polish club Wisla Krakow in Jan. 2017. He capped for the northeastern China side 19 times last season and scored one goal. Enditem
