Berkane qualify for CAF Confederation Cup for first time

RABAT, April 18 (Xinhua) -- Morocco's RSB Berkane advanced Wednesday to the CAF Confederation Cup group stage for the first time in their history after defeating Generation Foot of Senegal 2-0 in a play-off second leg.

The Moroccan team benefited from the away goal it scored in the first-leg match when it lost 3-1 in Senegal.

The home side took the lead through a header from Mohamed Aziz at the 34th minute before Fo-Doh Laba Kodjo scored the qualifying goal at the 75th minute.

The group stage draw is slated for Saturday in Cairo, while the group stage of the competition will kick-off on the weekend of May 4-6. Enditem
