Kuwait says keen on building effective partnership with Boeing

KUWAIT CITY, April 19 (Xinhua) -- Kuwait is keen on building effective partnership with Boeing to benefit both sides, the Kuwaiti Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah said on Thursday.

He made the remarks when meeting with President of Boeing Middle East, North Africa and Turkey, Bernie Dunn, and his accompanying delegation.

He expressed Kuwait's welcome of developing cooperation with Boeing to benefit the national economy and support the transfer and nationalization of modern technology.

He added that his country is willing to take measures to facilitate such initiatives.

Currently, Boeing company works with Kuwait Airways, Australian College of Kuwait and Kuwait Direct Investment Promotion Authority to provide the best ways to help materialize "Kuwait 2035," through investment in the aviation sector, the Kuwait News Agency said.

In February 2010, with an aim to change the country's long-existing oil-reliant economic structure, the Kuwaiti government unveiled "Kuwait 2035," a national development strategy aimed at building the country into a trade and financial hub. Enditem
