2 seriously injured in road accident near Japan's Mount Fuji

TOKYO, April 19 (Xinhua) -- A total of 17 people were sent to the hospitals and two of them were seriously injured after a tour bus collided with a van near Mount Fuji in eastern Japan Thursday, local fire department said.

The tour bus, carrying 29 Chinese tourists and a Japanese driver, collided with the van on its way back from the tourist spot Mount Fuji, according to local reports.

The two seriously injured were all from the van which had 12 people on board when the accident happened, said the reports.

A total of 17 people were sent to nearby hospitals, including seven Chinese tourists on the tour bus.

According to the Chinese Embassy in Japan, the seven Chinese tourists sustained minor injuries and have left the hospital. Enditem
