WASHINGTON -- U.S. President Donald Trump said on Tuesday that the United States and the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) have already started direct talks at "very high levels."

GAZA -- Hamas chief Ismail Haniyeh said Tuesday that his movement is ready to reach a prisoner swap deal with Israel through a third-party broker.

NEW YORK -- The U.S. Department of Commerce announced a market-shaking decision on Monday to deny export privileges against ZTE, a leading Chinese telecom equipment company, stoking up the tension of trade relations between the two countries.

This was only the latest and one of the many cases of Chinese companies being sanctioned by the United States over the past years. The Trump administration has been accusing China on trade surplus, intellectual property protection and other issues. (US-China-Trade)

TEHRAN -- At least two people were killed in an Iranian helicopter crash in the Gulf on Tuesday evening, official IRNA news agency reported.

In the incident, two people were killed, the pilot was rescued and two others are missing, Arsalan Bahari Meimandi, the chief of Crisis Management of Bandar Lengeh, told IRNA. (Iran-Helicopter-Crash )
