Indian markets close higher

MUMBAI, April 17 (Xinhua) -- Indian markets closed higher on Tuesday, with benchmark indices continuing to trade higher.

Infosys kicked off earnings season last week. In the current week, ACC, IndusInd Bank, TCS, HDFC Life and HDFC Bank will announce their earnings for the quarter ended March 2018.

The benchmark S&P BSE Sensex closed at 34,400.79, 95.36 point or 0.3 percent up compared to its previous close at 34,305.43. Enditem
