LUSAKA, April 17 (Xinhua) -- The following are news highlights in Zambia's major media outlets on Tuesday.

--Zambian President Edgar Lungu has warned public workers against disclosing government information to unauthorized persons.

Lungu said he was concerned at the leakage of confidential information from the government finding itself into the social media. (Zambia Daily Mail)

--Lusaka, the Zambian capital, has a daily deficit of 161 million liters of water, the service provider has revealed.

The Lusaka Water and Sewerage Company said it was currently only able to supply 250 million liters against the demand of 411 million liters every day and added that encroachment on water facilities was delaying expansion works to meet the growing demand. (Times of Zambia)

--More British companies have shown willingness to invest in Zambia's oil industry, a senior government official has said.

Minister of Commerce, Trade and Industry Christopher Yaluma said following the launch of oil exploration in the northern part of the country by Tullow Oil, British company, more foreign oil exploration firms were eager to invest in the energy sector. (Daily Nation)

--Zambia's leading opposition leader Hakainde Hichilema has formally written to United Nations (UN) Secretary-General Antonio Guterres registering his party's displeasure with the conduct of the organization's resident coordinator in Zambia, Janet Rogan.

The opposition leader, in his letter dated April 15, has complained that the behavior of the UN representative in Zambia was incompatible with the spirit of the organization. (The Mast) Enditem
