DAMASCUS -- Syrian air defenses intercepted all missiles fired at an airbase in the central province of Homs after midnight Tuesday, local media reported.

UNITED NATIONS -- A number of members of the United Nations Security Council are considering a draft resolution that would address the mechanisms for investigating the suspected chemical weapons attacks in Syria, diplomatic sources said on Monday.
The United Kingdom, France, the United States on Saturday handed over to other Council members a new draft resolution on Syria, which is expected to address the chemical weapons issue, as well as the political and humanitarian problems, sources said. (UN-Syria-CW Investigation)

HOUSTON -- A shooting at a nightclub in Little Rock, U.S. state of Arkansas, injured two people early Monday, one of whom is still hospitalized with life-threatening injuries, local police said.
According to police, officers were called to Club 428 shortly after 12:00 a.m. Monday morning. When they arrived, they found George Hicks Jr., 58, was lying on the ground near the club's front entrance with a gunshot wound to his lower right leg. He was treated for life-threatening injuries, said the hospital. (US-Shooting)
