KATHMANDU, April 16 (Xinhua) -- Nepali Foreign Minister Pradeep Kumar Gyawali on Monday said his government is committed to implementing bilateral agreements reached between Nepal and China.

Gyawali, who will leave for China on a five-day visit later on Monday, told media that Nepal will accelerate works to implement bilateral agreements reached between Nepal and China.

The foreign minister said his government is willing to construct various infrastructure as well as connectivity projects including highways, railway lines and inter-country transmission lines under the framework of the China-proposed Belt and Road Initiative.

"We have given high priority to deepen our cooperation with China under the Belt and Road Initiative," he said.

"The two sides will also review the status of bilateral agreements reached between the two governments in multiple occasions in the past," the minister added.

The foreign minister said he will convey to the Chinese leadership about priorities of his government during the meetings. Enditem
