LUSAKA, April 16 (Xinhua) -- The following are news highlights in Zambia's major media outlets on Monday.

-- Zambia has recorded an increase in the number of tourists visiting the country from 956,000 to 1.16 million last year.

Minister of Tourism and Arts Charles Banda attributed the increase to measures the government has put in place such as improved infrastructure to grow the tourism sector. (Zambia Daily Mail)

-- A report of the Economist Intelligence Unit has forecast substantial threats to Zambia's political stability.

The April 2018 report said unrest is likely to break out when the Constitutional Court delivers its verdict on whether President Edgar Lungu is eligible to stand for another term in the 2021 elections. (The Mast)

-- South Africa's JJ Senekal has won the 2018 Zanaco Masters golf tournament after four play-offs.
