Indian markets open lower

MUMBAI, April 16 (Xinhua) -- Indian markets opened lower Monday, with the Sensex falling below 34,000 levels following negative lead from SGX Nifty futures and global stocks.

The benchmark S&P BSE Sensex opened at 33,963.06, 229.59 points or 0.74 percent down compared to its previous close at 34,192.65. Enditem
