German shares close flat Friday

FRANKFURT, April 13 (Xinhua) -- German stocks closed flat on Friday, with the benchmark DAX index up 27.39 points, or 0.22 percent, to close at 12,442.40 points.

Housing association Vonovia won the most among the blue chips, with its shares up 2.03 percent. Automotive manufacturer BMW and industrial giant Thyssenkrupp rose by 1.63 percent and 1.04 percent respectively.

German airlines Lufthansa lost the most among the blue chips, by falling 1.67 percent. Semiconductor manufacturer Infineon Technologies and Commerzbank went down by 0.83 percent and 0.33 percent respectively.

Automotive manufacturer Volkswagen was the most-traded share with a turnover of 311.26 million euros (383.37 million U.S. dollars). Enditem
