Dollar climbs to upper 107 yen on eased geopolitical concerns

TOKYO, April 13 (Xinhua) -- The U.S. dollar inched up to the upper 107 yen zone Friday in Tokyo amid easing concerns over possible U.S. military strike on Syria.

At 5:00 p.m., the dollar was quoted at 107.64-65 yen compared with 107.30-40 yen in New York and 106.90-91 yen in Tokyo at 5:00 p.m. Thursday. It moved between 107.21 yen and 107.68 yen during the day.

The euro fetched 1.2340-2341 dollars and 132.83-87 yen against 1.2321-2331 dollars and 132.25-35 yen in New York and 1.2368-2369 dollars and 132.22-26 yen in Tokyo late Thursday afternoon. Enditem
