Mongolian president announces 2018-2019 year on fighting corruption

ULAN BATOR, April 11 (Xinhua) -- Mongolian President Khaltmaa Battulga on Wednesday issued a decree, announcing 2018-2019 as an anti-corruption year, aiming to eradicate corruption totally.
2018-2019 is a "year to refuse to offer or accept a bribe, disclose corrupt officials, protect corrupt witnesses and informants," the decree said.
"This decree is aimed at reviewing and improving anti-corruption laws, protecting and encouraging citizens who have disclosed corrupt officials, and enhancing public awareness of corruption and its consequences," Zandaakhuu Enkhbold, chief of staff of the President of Mongolia said.
Battulga called on governmental and non-governmental organizations, companies and enterprises to organize anti-corruption events and pursue policies against corruption via the decree. Enditem
