SANAA -- Yemen's Shiite Houthi rebels fired a barrage of ballistic missiles on the Saudi Defense Ministry in Riyadh and oil giant Aramco in Saudi border region of Najran, the Houthis said in a statement on Wednesday.
"The rocketry forces of the Yemeni (Houthi) army and popular forces have already fired a barrage of long-range ballistic missiles, Burkan-H2, toward the headquarters of the Saudi Defense Ministry in the capital Riyadh," said the statement, which is posted on the Houthi-controlled state Saba news agency. LONDON -- The multilingual versions of the second volume of Xi Jinping: The Governance of China was launched in London Wednesday.

UNITED NATIONS -- The United Nations on Wednesday stressed the need for the safe evacuation of civilians from besieged areas in Syria's Eastern Ghouta and the importance of protecting them.

ADEN, Yemen -- At least 48 fighters of the Shiite Houthi group were killed Wednesday in armed clashes with the Saudi-backed Yemeni government forces and Saudi-led airstrikes in two locations of the war-torn country.
A total of 18 Houthi rebels were killed and nearly 30 others injured in the gunbattles with the national army forces in southwestern city of Taiz, according to a statement revealed by the media center of the pro-government forces in the city. (Yemen-Houthi Fighters) Enditem
