German shares lose 0.83 pct Wednesday

FRANKFURT, April 11 (Xinhua) -- German shares lost on Wednesday, with the benchmark DAX index down 103.35 points, or 0.83 percent, to close at 12,293.97 points.

Marketplace organizer for the trading of shares and securities Deutsche Boerse group lost the most among the blue chips, down by 2.79 percent, followed by German airlines Lufthansa and material manufacturer Covestro, which lost 2.60 percent and 2.38 percent respectively.

Sportswear and equipment maker Adidas, automotive manufacturer Volkswagen and Deutsche Bank were the top three winners, rising 0.88 perccent, 0.75 percent and 0.49 percent respectively.

Telecommunications company Deutsche Telekom was the most traded share of the day with a turnover of 382.49 million euros (473.67 million U.S. dollars). Enditem
