French shares drop 0.56 pct Wednesday

PARIS, April 11 (Xinhua) -- French shares lost on Wednesday, with the benchmark Paris CAC 40 down 0.56 percent, or 29.62 points, to close at 5,277.94 points.

Of the 40 selected large companies, 33 lost in the day.

European aeronautic giant Airbus tumbled 3.13 percent, the top loser of the blue chips. French car producer Renault was down 2.77 percent and French transnational company Veolia Environment lost 2.49 percent.

Technipfmc, global leader in oil and gas projects, technologies, systems and services advanced 5.57 percent, the top gainer of the blue chips. French luxury group Kering rose 1.44 percent and French luxury group LVMH was up 1.13 percent. Enditem
