Lebanon warns of "dangerous implications" of possible U.S. strike on Syria

Xinhua,April 11, 2018 Adjust font size:

BEIRUT, April 11 (Xinhua) -- Lebanon's Speaker Nabih Berri warned Wednesday of dangerous implications of any possible attacks on Syria by the United States, the Daily Star reported on its website.

If a new phase in the Syrian war erupts, it will be financed by "the pockets of Arabs and their wealth," the report quoted Berri as saying.

"The result of the war will be negative and destructive to their future," Berri said.

His comments come as news emerged that the U.S. might conduct a military strike in Syria following an alleged chemical weapons attack on the Syrian town of Douma over the weekend. Enditem
