BEIJING -- Chinese stocks closed mixed on Tuesday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index up 1.66 percent, at 3,190.32 points.
The Shenzhen Component Index closed 1.05 percent higher at 10,765.62 points. The ChiNext Index, which tracks China's NASDAQ-style board of growth enterprises, lost 0.33 percent to close at 1,835.52 points.

MUMBAI -- Indian markets closed marginally higher Tuesday.
The market continued to trade higher amid volatility as investors look for March quarter earnings that will start later in the week.

JAKARTA -- Indonesian shares closed higher by 79.6 points, or 1.27 percent, to a level of 6,325.81 on Tuesday.
Some 426,047 transactions were booked, involving 8 billion copies of shares with a value of 7.2 trillion rupiah (about 523.4 million U.S. Dollars).

KUALA LUMPUR -- The Malaysian stock market ended higher here on Tuesday.
