RABAT, April 9 (Xinhua) -- A Spanish national was arrested in Morocco's northern city of Tangier over suspected cannabis trafficking, the police said Monday.

The arrest came after police found 17.5 kg of cannabis concealed in the four wheels of the commercial vehicle the 65-year-old Spanish man was driving.

The Moroccan authorities seized more than 90 tons of cannabis in 2017.

According to the UN's Office on Drugs and Crime, Morocco is the world's largest cannabis resin harvester. Enditem
