BUDAPEST -- Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban's ruling Fidesz-KDNP coalition won the general elections in Hungary on Sunday, with 49.42 percent of the vote, at 81 percent of the votes counted by the National Election office.
Former radical Jobbik party came second with 20 percent of the vote, and MSZP-P (Socialist-Dialogue) third with 12.13 percent. (Hungary-Elections)

DAMASCUS -- The first bus transporting the released people from rebels' captivity in Syria's Douma reached the Syrian army position near the capital Damascus on Sunday, state TV reported.
The bus reached Wafideen area northeast of the capital, transporting people kidnapped by the Islam Army in Douma, the last rebel-held area in Damascus' Eastern Ghouta. (Syria-Rebels)

TOKYO -- An earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 5.8 struck Shimane prefecture, western Japan, on Monday, Japan Meteorological Agency said.
The temblor occurred at 1:32 a.m. Monday local time (16:32 GMT Sunday), with the epicenter at a latitude of 35.2 degrees north and a longitude of 132.6 degrees east and at depth of 10 km, according to the agency. (Japan-Earthquake)

ACCRA -- Six people were killed on Saturday when a tunnel roof collapsed at one of Newmont's gold mining sites in Ghana, the company confirmed to local media on Sunday.
