BERLIN, April 8 (Xinhua) -- German police should have prevented an attack in Berlin during Berlin half marathon on Sunday, local media reported.

The police have arrested four suspected people who were linked to Anis Amri, a failed asylum seeker who hijacked a truck in December 2016 and then crashed into a crowded Christmas market in Berlin, according to German media Welt.

One of the four people have been under the observation of the authorities for long. The report said the man had wanted to revenge after the death of his accomplice Amri.

After the man has been overwhelmed by police, there is no concrete security risk, according to the report. Enditem
