2018 Chinese Circuit Offroad Championship to open in SW China

CHENGDU, April 8 (Xinhua) -- 2018 Chinese Circuit Offroad Championship (COC) is to set off on April 21 to 23 in Nanxi, Sichuan province, the southwest of China.

More than 150 drivers with their vehicles, including many famous race teams and fresh domestic teams such as Chery and BAIC Motor, will participate in the event, local sports officials said.

The race mode will be changed to '8 cars at once' instead of 6 as usual. It will be the first time to use this race mode in China.

The circuit of the event will be more challenging than last years: 0.5 more kilometers to the length of the circuit and extra 3-6 meters to the width. And the new drifting corners will be highlighted this year.

Additionally, the circuit is built along the Changjiang which is expected to impress the racers and audience with the beautiful scenery. Enditem
