OTTAWA, April 7 (Xinhua) -- Fourteen people were killed and over a dozen others injured when a bus carrying a team of junior hockey players collided with a truck on a highway in southwestern Saskatchewan Province Friday, local media reported.

Police said 28 people including the driver were on the bus when the collision occurred on highway 35. The injured were sent to hospital, with three in critical condition.

The Humboldt Broncos, who play in the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League, were on their way to a playoff game on Friday night. Enditem
