LUSAKA, April 7 (Xinhua) -- The following are news highlights in Zambia's major media outlets:

-- The Cuban government has appointed a new envoy for its embassy in Zambia following the southern African nation's expulsion of the previous envoy for engaging in partisan politics. (Daily Nation)

-- Zambia's leading opposition leader has accused the head of the United Nations (UN) in the southern African nation of having taken party in the alleged manipulation of the 2016 election results in favor of the governing party.

Hakainde Hichilema, who narrowly lost to President Edgar Lungu, in the disputed polls, alleged that UN Representative Janet Rogan partnered with the country's electoral body and the governing party to influence the election results. (Times of Zambia)

-- Zambia's Vice-President Inonge Wina said the challenge of sexual reproductive health in the country needs joint effort from all stakeholders to be addressed.
