German shares lose 0.52 pct Friday

FRANKFURT, April 6 (Xinhua) -- German shares lost on Friday, with the benchmark DAX index down 63.92 points, or 0.52 percent, to close at 12,241.27 points.

Automotive manufacturer Daimler lost the most among the blue chips, down by 5.57 percent, followed by Deutsche Bank and multinational chemical firm Linde, which lost 2.29 percent and 1.75 percent respectively.

German airlines Lufthansa, telecommunications company Deutsche Telekom and tire specialist Continental were the top three winners, rising 1.82 percent, 0.71 percent and 0.54 percent respectively.

Daimler was the most traded share of the day, with a turnover of 366.07 million euros (447.85 million U.S. dollars). Enditem
